After you make a payment on the iBanFirst platform, you receive two documents to confirm its progress. Here is what each one is and where to find it.
Payment order confirmation
As soon as iBanFirst accepts your payment and begins processing it, you receive a payment order confirmation. This document confirms that your payment instruction is received and in progress.
You can download it directly from the payment detail page on your platform.
SWIFT payment confirmation (pacs.008)
Once your payment has left iBanFirst and entered the SWIFT network, you can download your SWIFT proof of payment, the pacs.008 file.
This is the official SWIFT message confirming your payment has been sent.
It includes:
Full payment details: amount, currency, sender and beneficiary information
A unique tracking ID (UETR): the Unique End-to-End Transaction Reference, which lets you and your beneficiary track the payment at any point.
To download it, go to your payment detail page and click on "Swift payment confirmation".
Important: the pacs.008 is not available immediately after you initiated the payment. It becomes available a few hours after your payment has been initiated.
It is only available for SWIFT (cross-border) payments; not for SEPA, DSP or internal payments.

What is the difference between the payment order confirmation and the pacs.008?
The payment order confirmation tells you iBanFirst has accepted your payment. The pacs.008 confirms it has been sent into the SWIFT network. They cover different stages of the payment journey.
Is pacs.008 available for SEPA payments?
No. The pacs.008 proof of payment is only available for SWIFT (cross-border) payments.
I cannot find my proof of payment — what should I do?
Check that a few hours have passed since you initiated the payment. If the pacs.008 is still unavailable, please contact us.
